A 16-hectare indigenous nature reserve set against ancient koppies, with stone pathways, seasonal wildflowers and birdsong that feels worlds away from the city. An early morning here, before the day begins, is something else entirely.
One of Johannesburg's best-kept secrets. On a weekday afternoon you can be the only person on the trails. Birds fill the air, the city disappears, and the landscape opens up in ways that consistently invite something to shift. Asidlale means "let's play" in Zulu — and it earns the name.
A much-loved Joburg green space with pockets of genuine quiet away from the main paths. If you already love this park, the Silent Stroll™ will show you a version of it you have not yet met.
Payment secures your place. Spaces are limited and sessions do fill up. Once you are in, you are in.
Upon payment a page will open for you to complete a short indemnity form. Please fill it out immediately so we know which experience you have booked for and your spot is confirmed.
One week before your session, you will be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group. This is where we share any practical details, meeting point, what to wear, and any last-minute updates.
Arrive on time, wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and leave your devices on silent. Everything else will be taken care of.
The Silent Stroll™ runs in light rain — Joburg winter mornings are crisp, not wet, and the experience holds beautifully in cool weather. In the event of heavy or sustained rain, the session will be postponed to the following weekend at the same time. All registered participants will be notified by WhatsApp by 6:00am on the day.
In the unlikely event that a venue becomes unsuitable closer to the date due to circumstances beyond our control, registered participants will be notified by WhatsApp as early as possible and an appropriate alternative will be arranged. The experience will go ahead.
